I am all about the smokey eye at the moment, but a more muted everyday, easy smokey eye and I haven’t been able to stop using these products so wanted to share them with you. Is it just me or does everyone prefer the smokey eye throughout Spring/Summer and then a vanilla eye with a slick of black liner throughout Autumn/Winter? So, here’s what I use.
Firstly I use the Benefit Stay Don’t Stray Eye Shadow Primer. This helps to always keep my eye shadow in place and it also helps to conceal any redness or dark skin on the eye lids so give a better base for the eye shadow to be applied onto.
For the eye shdaow, I use the Smashbox Photo Op Eyeshadow Trio in shade Screen Shot. I love this eye shadow. It’s fast becoming my most favourite and well used eye shadow. It’s great for travel because of it’s dinky size but it also contains three pretty perfect shades for my personal taste. There is a soft and buttery peach shade called Nectar, a light bronze called Cinnamon Toast and a dark shimmery brown shade called Roast. So I use Nectar all over the lid, Cinnamon from the middle outwards and in the crease and then Roast in the outer corner and on the lower lash line. Whilst I say this is the perfect eye shadow palette it is missing a warm crease shade, so I use the Look Beauty Statement Eyes Eyeshadow in shade 20 Satchel. It’s a beautiful warm taupe shade that is absolutely perfect for the crease and I also use for the lower lash line.
To line the eyes I use the Maybelline Gel Mechanical Liner in shade Volcanic Brown, I just press this into the lash line to give a more defined eye and then smudge it out ever so slightly as I don’t like to look too perfected and neat. To finish off I use the Clinique High Impact Mascara. This has turned into one of my all time favourites. It’s super black and gives great volume and length to the lashes without going clumpy or dry.
So that’s it. My easy everyday smokey eye look. Have you used any of these products?
