I have been wanting to try the new Body Shop expert facial masks for so long now so I was really excited when The Body Shop got in touch to see if I wanted to try their Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask*. All products within the range are vegetarian with no parabens, silicones, mineral oil or paraffin so are really natural and pure goodness for your skin.
Containing Bamboo Charcoal from the Himalayan foothills, Community Trade Tea Tree Oil from Kenya and Green Tea Leaves from Japan, it’s like an exotic cocktail being applied to your skin. It does give a slight cooling/tingling sensation to the skin but didn’t irritate or affect my sensitive skin in the slightest. Upon application, leave on the skin for around 10-15 minutes until it dries and sets and then rinse with warm water, I used a hot flannel to help melt the product and then rinsed away with fresh water.
This leaves my skin looking so incredibly clear and bright, my skin tone is evened out and my skin looks generally healthy and smooth. I have been using this as a pre-night out mask or on a Sunday night to prep my skin for the rest of the week.
To apply the mask I’ve been using the Facial Mask Brush* which I have to say has completely converted me to using a brush for mask application. I was always a big believer in using my fingers and thought a brush was just unnecessary but it really helps to give a more precise and even application resulting in less wastage of product.
After trying this I really want to give more of their masks a go and the next one on my list to try is the British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask.
Have you tried any masks from the expert facial range? I’d love to hear your thoughts and recommendations!
