As a warm eyeshadow lover I had been eyeing up this Smashbox Abalaze palette for quite some time along with the UD Naked Heat palette and realising I didn’t need both I decided to go with the Smashbox palette and I am so glad I did.
Containing 8 eyeshadows, ranging from a matte brow bone highlight to pinks, rusty reds, copper and bronze tones and a deep brown it has everything I personally need to create my desired eye looks. I can’t tell you how creamy the shadows are, they are so buttery soft, blend like a dream, have minimal fallout with maximum pigmentation and great colour payoff.
The palette itself is much smaller than what I’m normally used to with eyeshadow palettes but it’s very thought out, the pan sizes are ample and it’s really slim making it super travel-friendly. Priced at £24.00 I actually think this is really good value for money. I am yet to try the UD Naked Heat palette so can’t compare the two but I’ve actually seen a number of reviews saying that the pigmentation and formula of the shadows isn’t as good as the previous palettes so if you’re a real fan of warm eyeshadows and are umming and arring over which of the two palettes to get I would definitely say the Smashbox palette is worth going in store to swatch, once you feel how buttery the shadows are you won’t be able to resist!
All in all I absolutely love this palette. It’s super versatile, I can create so many different looks with it, it’s travel friendly, it’s reasonably priced and it’s excellent quality. Plus Smashbox are a 100% animal cruelty free brand.
