So I’m sure most of you have already seen this gold flecked water making it’s rounds across the beauty social sphere it is part of Bio-Essence’s new 24K Bio-Gold range. Containing active gold ions rich in trace minerals the new collection will help to promote blood and oxygen circulation, which in turn helps to improve the skin’s turnover of cells. Which in turn helps to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to keep skin looking plump and youthful.

Containing 6 products within the range consisting of two cleansers and two moisturisers (one for morning and one for night), the 24K Gold Water* and 24K Gold Miracle Finish*. And it’s the water and miracle finisher that I wanted to talk to you about today.

Bio-Essence 24K Gold Water* £16.99 / 100ml

Currently massively big in the Korean skincare industry, which is moving over here, is the use of an essence within our skincare routines. It’s basically an added additional step post-cleanse and pre-serum/moisturiser/oil, they are meant to not only add another layer of hydration to the skin but also prep the skin to allow the following products to penetrate the skin faster and get to work harder. This essence containing flecks of 24k gold is said to help with tightening of the pores, improve skins firmness, reduce wrinkles, balance sebum, energise the skin and give a luminous radiance – that’s a pretty tall order for an essence in my opinion.

So I wanted to give it a go as I’ve heard so many mixed reviews and I have to say I really love it. It’s more of a gel texture than water, but sinks in just as quick, I dispense a couple of drops onto my hands morning and night and apply straight onto my skin. It instantly absorbs into the skin and leaves a good clean, smooth base to apply the rest of my skincare on top of. I’ve been using this for just over 4 weeks now and can definitely tell a difference, the most noticeable effects are minimsed pores and a smoother complexion. I didn’t get instant results with this, it took a good 7-10 days to start seeing the benefits but I would definitely recommend picking this up if you have concerns over your pores, want to inject some glow into your skin or have those pesky under the skin pimples.

Helping to create a barrier from the outside world to the skin, this anti-oxidant rich primer will help to fight off free radicals, protect against pollution and prevent the pores from becoming clogged. It’s beautiful product, it definitely helps to prime the skin for makeup application, giving a real even and smoothed out complexion.

If you’re wanting to venture into this brand then I would definitely recommend picking up the Gold Water, it’s pretty inexpensive for the amount and quality of product that you are getting. It’s a very welcome addition to my skincare routine.
