My Summer/Autumn Transitional Fragrances

My Summer/Autumn Transitional Fragrances

I don’t know about you but I love switching my perfumes up depending on the upcoming season, there are always 1 or 2 perfumes that I keep within my collection all year round but I like to switch them up to really embrace the season. We all have our own favourite fragrances and with the plethora of perfumes out there it can be difficult to pick out a new scent when you’re wanting to mix things up a bit.

So I’ve included my collection below of the fragrances I am moving into Autumn with and wanted to share these with you. When choosing my fragrances for Autumn I always like to pick fresh smelling fragrances with a hint of musk or woody undertones to really give them that feeling of a fresh Autumn morning with the cosiness of lying on the sofa underneath a blanket and I think this year I have it pretty much nailed:

My Summer/Autumn Transitional Fragrances

Ghost Dream Eau de Parfum* £25.00/30ml

I actually think Ghost was one of the first perfumes I owned, the one in the frosted hourglass shaped bottle. So receiving this perfume really took me back to my teenage years. But Ghost has moved on massively since then, releasing numerous beautiful and affordable fragrances and this new release is no exception. Described as a floral, oriental fragrance created for young women to embrace their femininity and independence. I personally would describe this as a light floral fragrance with a musky undertone that still has a beautiful freshness to it. I think this is perfect for moving into Autumn, with notes of rose, violet and Moroccan orange flower it is super fresh perfect for those brisk Autumnal days but brings with it base notes of musk and patchouli to give the fragrance a depth and warmth. Not too heady and not too floral…the perfect mix and really great value at £25.00 for 30ml.

Clean Reserve Warm Cotton Eau de Parfum* £79.00/100ml

Clean Reserve, if you haven’t come across the brand before, is a new collection of fragrances. All ingredients are responsibly sourced with eco-conscious manufacturing and packaging. They’re a really beautiful brand for more non conventional perfumes and scents. This is one of my favourites at the moment, I’ve been wearing it non-stop and so many people have complimented me on it. It’s such a fresh fragrance that has a real warmth and cosy feel to it. “Inspired by a feeling of deepest comfort and ultimate coziness that’s irresistibly fresh and inviting”, describes this fragrance perfectly. With notes of watery ozonic, vetiver & organic benzoin it’s beautifully fresh and clean smelling but somehow feels super luxurious and comforting for those cosy Autumnal days and nights. And is fantastic value for money! I know £79.00 seems like a lot of money but note that that is for 100ml!

My Summer/Autumn Transitional Fragrances

Diptyque Eau Duelle Eau de Toilette £64.00/50ml

A beautifully rich and warm spicy fragrance with notes of pink peppercorn, juniper berry, bourbon vanilla and vetiver to name a few. This for me is such a luxurious perfume, it embodies Autumn, the spicy notes of pink peppercorn and juniper berry mixed with the bourbon vanilla give it such a deep scent throw that’s super feminine topped off with the vetiver to give it a slight freshness. It’s a very gentle and warm fragrance, not at all overpowering; I love this for those Autumnal date nights to give a warming feminine fragrance that feels like it’s wrapping me in a cashmere blanket.

Philosophy Pure Grace Eau de Toilette* £33.00/60ml

Described as being for women who want to smell clean like soap and water. This is actually very similar to the Clean Reserve Warm Cotton fragrance that I mentioned above. It has a real freshness to it thanks to notes of water lily, leafy greens and frosted musk. I love to use this as my daytime fragrance and will often layer it over the top of my other perfumes to add a feeling of freshness. For me personally, with it’s leafy greens notes, this smells just like walking through a forest after it’s rained, so fresh and simple which is then rooted by it’s soft and luxurious musk notes giving it a real cosy and warming feel to it. A really beautiful fragrance that will forever be in my collection. I also have this in the shower gel and body lotion to really amp up the scent throw!

Jo Malone Blackberry & Bay Cologne £44.00/30ml

How could I not include this perfume. Blackberries for me always remind my of my childhood throughout Autumn; going out blackberry picking with my nan and getting covered in purple juice but your hands always smelt so good afterwards! They give this perfume an instant burst of freshness with their tart fruity scent, coupled with notes of bay leaves and cedarwood to add a green leafy lift and a base of depth and woodiness. This for me just embodies Autumn, blackberries are the fruit of Autumn in themselves and layered with the Philosophy Pure Grace it’s divine!

So that’s it, my top perfumes that I will be wearing and loving throughout Autumn. Let me know if you already own any of these or pick any of them. And also if you have any recommendations for me! I always have space for more perfumes.
