Drugstore Hair Mask Edit

Recently now more than ever I have really been taking care of my hair. I never used to be too fussed about what products I would use as long as it was cheap and did the job but recently I have really come to notice my hair showing dry and damaged warnings. So I’ve been investing, not necessarily in expensive top of the line products but more investing in my haircare, so purchasing more masks, moisturising serums and nourishing oils. So I wanted to share with you my top favourite drugstore masks that I’ve come across:Grow Gorgeous Back Into The Roots 10 Minute Stimulating Scalp Masque* £24.00 / 240ml

This is a liquid form mask that you apply directly onto your roots and scalp, containing hyaluronic acid, caffeine, rosemary and menthol (to name a few) it feels seriously refreshing and cooling on the hair. To use, I apply this directly onto dry hair and massage into my scalp and roots, leave it on for around 10-15 minutes and then shampoo as usual. This helps to really breakdown any product build up on the scalp and leaves the roots really refreshed and voluminous when blow dried. I really love using this product in the mornings, I apply to my roots the moment I get up, go to make a cup of tea and by that time I’m ready to jump in the shower and wash my hair as usual. The menthol and rosemary not only help to refresh your scalp, it also smells amazing and really helps to awaken the senses in the morning.

Schwarzkopf Color Expert Colour Sealer Treatment* £3.99 / 150ml

Designed as a once a week rinse out conditioning treatment that helps to care for coloured hair in the same way as an everyday conditioner would but with a stronger and deeper hit of nourishment. This leaves my hair feeling so soft and smooth with such a strong and healthy feel to it. The results it gives are instant, really soft, strong hair with a beautiful shine. I routinely get my hair coloured so this is my little life saver, it’s super purse-friendly so I use this more often than the others as it won’t break the bank and it really keeps my coloured hair in tip top condition.

Strong Sexy Hair, Core Strength Masque* £16.95 / 200ml

Made with mango butter and aloe vera, this masque helps to provide nourishment and moisture to distressed hair. The mango butter helps to soften the hair, give moisture and shine to dull hair and gives nourishment to the scalp. The aloe vera helps to repair and protect the hair giving it the strength and flexibility. I really love using this masque, I like to wash my hair with my favourite shampoo and then apply this masque around once a week and leave in for a good 10 minutes. Then rinse out and comb through with a wide toothed comb. My hair literally feels so silky soft once blow dried with a strong and healthy finish to it.

Umberto Giannini Over Indulge Nourishing Hair Mask £8.50 / 200ml

This is my super intense, pulling out all the stops mask. When my hair is in dire need of some moisture and luxury I smother this onto my hair all over and will often leave it overnight then rinse in the morning and my hair is transformed overnight. The scent is heavenly, containing lemon, lavender, rose and geranium so is really uplifting yet relaxing, perfect for a bedtime treat. The mask actually comes with a handy shower cap which is really useful when using this as an overnight treatment. It makes my hair feel so intensely moisturised with a really strong added feel to it. This is a great one for anyone with really dry or damaged hair that needs a nutrient rich intensive mask.

Lee Stafford Sea Salt Mud Mask* £10.99 / 200ml

This is my go to quick fix hair mask option. I love to use it alongside the Lee Stafford Sea Salt Shampoo and Conditioner for big beachy, textured hair. Packed with nutritious minerals from the Dead Sea this really helps to clarify and rejuvenate the hair, it gives a great bounce and texture to the hair without weighing it down. I will often use this at least 4-5 times a week as a quick fix mask between my shampoo and conditioner to add more texture and volume to my hair.

So that’s it, my top drugstore hair masks that I absolutely love. I use every single one of them and have come to really rely on the effect they have on my hair. I would love to hear your recommendations.
