You guys all know how much of a skincare addict I am so if there is an opportunity to add even more products into my routine, I’m all for it. And the way to do this is through layering. I’m sure you are all probably familiar with layering your clothes, starting with thin and light materials working up to the big thick knitted jumpers and coats, well it’s the same principal but with your skincare. Not only does skincare layering give many benefits to your skin and complexion but it will also improve the efficacy of your products, and work towards a more impressive end skincare result. But when faced with hundreds of thousands of products in a massive worldwide industry it’s hard to know which products to use and also when to use them, so I wanted to share some of my recommendations and tips towards layering your skincare. I will just warn you now, this is going to be a long post, so grab a cuppa and get comfy.
A new one to me, Time Bomb Skincare, I’d heard of the brand before but never really tried any of their products so was really intrigued to try a couple of their bestsellers when they got in touch. Using a simple new approach to skincare they have a collection of powerhouse formulas and breakthrough innovations developed to help women of all ages “stop the clock!”
Blushers for me are just about adding that slight bit of rosiness to my cheeks, I don’t want anything too pink or bronzed, just a nice rosey flush is what I’m about. I’ve always been a massive fan of neutral blushes, they work with all makeup looks and I’ve just generally never been a lover of statement cheeks.
It can be difficult at the best of times to find the right skincare items that are suited for your specific needs and concerns but when you have a real problem skin it can be even trickier. I personally have very sensitive, blemish prone skin that is dehydrated with also a couple of dry patches, so it’s been really difficult finding products to suit my skin; but I have found over the past year or so a handful of great products that I wanted to share with you incase any of you have similar skin concerns to me:
Whenever my family and friends come to me for advice on skincare products they literally look at me gone out when I start to mention anything that isn’t a face wash or moisturiser. I find a lot of people tend to use the bare essentials when it comes to skincare, a face wipe or two to take their makeup off, a facial cleanser if you’re lucky and a cream, which in reality which suffice and keep your skin at a regular and comfortable level; but it’s when you start to introduce the other items that a lot of people find unnecessary is when you can take your skin from good/comfortable to radiant, bright and smooth.
Beauty Pie is a fantastic subscription service offering premium products at factory cost, I’m not going to go into the full details today as I wrote a whole post on the service a couple of months ago here but cutting a long story short it’s absolutely fantastic. And because I loved the products from that post so much I decided to order some other products myself and wanted to share these with you:
