My skin has been having a serious mare recently. Now I’ve always had sensitive skin but over the past month or so my skin has gone into complete overdrive and has become so incredibly sensitive that even at the slightest touch it goes red and sensitive. It has been reacting to products that I have been using for years and just basically doesn’t know whether it’s coming or going. So I have had to completely overhaul my skincare routine by researching ingredients, spot testing products…it’s been a long road and I wanted to share with you the products that now make up my new skincare routine.
I’ve recently had a massive de clutter of my makeup brush collection. I was starting to get loads of those little spots underneath the skin and thought my makeup brushes may have had something to do with it as some of them were so old so threw loads of them away. Making room for these shiny new additions:
A couple of years ago if you had of asked me which Jo Malone scent was my favourite I would have responded with who? I’d never even heard of the brand but of course becoming a beauty blogger I felt I needed to experience the world of Jo Malone like a right of passage. I gave every single scent a good sniff and pretty much turned my nose up to every single one. They were far too floral or fresh for my liking. Give my a good ole Chanel Mademoiselle any day.
Not sure why but Aveda has never been on my radar for skincare. Hair care, I’ve tried a few of their products and have really loved them so when I realised they had a skincare range I knew I just had to try it considering how good their hair care products are. There’s so many products that I didn’t know which one to get first so picked up the Botanical Kinetics Skincare Starter Set which includes the following:
A slight confession. I’ve never actually tried anything from Sleek. Yep shock horror. So after watching Emily’s YouTube video from Style Lobster Blog I knew I just had to go out and purchase the Precious Metals highlighting palette. And then of course I got browsing and purchased two other products so wanted to share them with you guys and also offer my first impressions. I would love to hear any recommendations from you lot with other products to try from the brand because spoiler alert I am slightly in love.
I’ve always been a fan of The Body Shop ever since I was a little girl. My mum would drag me around the shopping centres and this would always be one of the last shops we would go into to have an uplifting whiff of fruity and floral fragrances for our drive home. So the brand has always resonated with me from a young age and I am yet to pull away from it, often their are brands that you can get a little bored of after a while, whether it be the packaging, their presence in the market or you’ve just parted ways but not this one. The Body Shop is here to stay.
